MADVILLA kicks 2021 off with HW005, a tasty two-tracker titled ‘Based’. The lead track is a techy 808 influenced beat that blends trippy melodies/FX, sharp drums, a warm rolling bassline topped off by some very explicit vocals (NSFW). “Step Up” is a late night venture into the deep with a mix of Chicago & UKG influenced sounds. Raw/chunky drums, deep moody pads, a stabby bass groove and obscure FX all gel together to create a unique B-side flavour. Another colourful palette of sounds from MADVILLA on this new record.
